To take everything in a great Wedge and make it better, you start from the ground up. Literally.
There wasn't a material on Earth that gave us the improvements we sought for CBZ, so we scoured the planet herself. Dug through layers of literature and mountains of material science for new raw materials and a better formula. And after years of mixing, melting, and refining, we created a new steel that beats our old metals in every measurable parameter we have.

Our one-of-a-kind Z-Alloy is a brand-new steel with better feel. It's softer, lighter, and, so far, it's one of the few metals made exclusively for use in golf clubs.
Z-Alloy is less dense than 431 steel, and CBZ Wedges are 25% softer* than CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges.

Z-Alloy is a brand-new steel created by Cleveland Golf for a better feel. It's softer, lighter, and remarkably durable. It gives CBZ Wedges superior feel, better forgiveness, and more consistency.
CAVITY BACK DESIGN
Thanks to CBZ's cavity back design and ZipCore Technology, the sweet spot is central—instead of heel-sided, where you're most likely to contact the ball. And since it's packed with MOI, you'll hit more successful shots more often.
GELBACK TPU
For anyone still unfamiliar with GelBack TPU's feel benefits: this specially designed TPU insert sits behind the sweet spot to help dampen vibrations and enhance feel on every shot, so even miss-hits are buttery smooth.
FULL-FACE DESIGN OPTION
A fan favorite versatility option, our Full-Face design returns with CBZ. Full-Face allows golfers who make inconsistent contact to receive more spin on off-center shots. And, for savvier players, its hosel-to-toe grooves and extended, high-toe toe area maximize contact on creative open-face shots for more consistent spin, flight, and stopping power.

Both our CBZ and CBZ Full-Face Wedges feature grinds and bounces tailored to match each option's strength in forgiveness and versatility. Whether you are hitting full shots or opening up the face around the green, our sole grinds make sure you get more benefit from the groove length you prefer.
CAVITY BACK FORGIVENESS
GAP WEDGE
Our V-Shaped sole with 12° of bounce and a traditional head and groove length prevent digging on full swing shots, even if you strike slightly behind the ball.
SAND WEDGE
Our S-Shaped sole with an increased 14° of bounce is ideal for bunker shots or more finesse type shots from the rough or fairway, helping you get in and out of the sand or turf without losing speed.
LOB WEDGE
Our C-Shaped sole is perfect for lob shots with an open-face. Includes additional heel and toe side relief to give you options in any greenside situation you may encounter.
